Step-by-step guide to select multiple objects on Snaptrude using marquee selection and filter selection.

This guide explains how to select multiple objects on Snaptrude using marquee selection and filter selection. Multi-selecting objects can help temporarily group them to move, rotate, or copy them simultaneously.

Marquee Selection

1. Left to Right Selection: Drag the mouse from left to right to select objects. This method selects all elements fully enclosed within the selection box. 2. Right to Left Selection: Drag the mouse from right to left for a different type of selection. This method selects all elements that intersect, even partially, with the selection box.

Filter and Storey Selection

Click on the dropdown beside the selection arrow to find the options for 'Filter & Storey selection'.

1. Filter Selection: Under the filter selection, you will a list of all components & files which you can check to select in the project. You can also check multiple items in the list to select them together.

2. Storey Selection: Storey selection lists all the storeys/levels that have been created in the model. You can select the storey(s) you want to work with from the selection list here.

Pro-tip: To select specific elements within the storey, such as doors, walls, or slabs, start by choosing the storeys from the 'Storey Selection' list. Next, open the 'Filter Selection' and check the elements you wish to select from these storeys. These elements will then be selected together in the respective storey(s).

You can then isolate, hide, lock, or edit these elements as needed.

Other ways of multiselecting objects

1. Storey Tab: To select objects from a particular storey/level, use the story tab. Click on the arrow next to the storey number and select the 'Select All' option. This action selects all elements within the storey.

Note: The storey tab allows selecting only one storey at a time, while the 'Storey Selection' list allows selecting multiple stories simultaneously.

2. Ctrl or Cmd key: Holding down the Ctrl (on Windows) or Cmd (on Mac) and click all the object you want to to multiselect.
