The height of a room or space typically is determined by the height of a storey.

Double and triple height masses have unique heights, not determined by their storey heights.


Creating double and triple height spaces

You can over-ride the height of a room in 2 ways:

  • Move the upper face (or roof) of a room upward to create the desired double height volume.

  • In Object Properties, type in the desired height of the rooms.

The storey assignment of vertically edited rooms does not change, as there is no edit to the base of the room.


Storey replication of double and triple height spaces

When double height or unique height masses are replicated, they are copied up exactly on top of themselves, like typical rooms. However, the storey assignment of the copy will depend on the base of the copied space.

For example, if you replicate a double height space up from storey 1, its copy will belong to storey 3, and not storey 2. This is because the base of the copied room is at the height of storey 3.
