Import and Edit Rhino Models on Snaptrude
Updated over 4 months ago

Once you have downloaded and installed the Snaptrude Manager for Rhino, follow this tutorial video to learn how to import in a Rhino model on Snaptrude and edit it further:

Current Limitations:

  • Materials applied onto geometry in Rhino will not get exported.

  • Areas are not calculated for spaces that come in as 'Direct shape'.

  • Once imported, in the 'Storey Tab', users will not be able to create basement storeys.

  • Changing the height of the storey once the objects have been imported, may lead to the geometry being skewed and scaled incorrectly.

  • When users choose to import an object as a Slab, the slab family type can only be assigned in Snaptrude, after import.

  • Since Snaptrude Walls are disjointed at the junctions, if you import an L shaped wall that is continuous and has no junctions, it will not function exactly like Snaptrude walls.
