Creating & Editing Sheets

Learn how to create and manage sheets within Snaptrude.

Start by clicking on the Present mode. This opens a new environment where you're able to create sheets and add images using your Snaptrude project files.

Create New Sheets

There are two ways to create a new sheet:

1. Click on the plus button on the left-hand toolbar

2. The New Sheet button on the top toolbar.

Pro-tip: Change the order of the sheets by dragging and moving them in the Sheets panel.

Editing Sheet Scale, Orientation & Margin

Once a new sheet is created you can then edit the size, orientation & margins by clicking on the name of the sheet to activate these options.

  • Sheet Size: Click on the dropdown of the sheet size & scale and select from the default list of standard sheet scales. Note that

  • Sheet Orientation: Beside the sheet size/scale dropdown, the option to select from Portrait or Landscape orientation will be available.

  • Margins: Add/Remove margins from the sheets from the Margin dropdown. You can also define the how much margin you require from this dropdown list

  • Deleting sheets: To delete a sheet, click on it and hit the Delete button on your keyboard.


Add & Edit Views on Sheets

  • Add Views: To add elements from your Snaptrude project to the sheet, open the Views tab in the left panel. From there, simply drag and drop any view—such as a plan, saved 3D views, or AI-Render—directly into the sheet.

  • Scale & Resize Views: Resize the plan, 3D & render views added to sheets by clicking on the edges or vertex of the selection box. Additionally, for plan views, you have the option to set scale from the 'Scale' dropdown menu

  • Crop View: You're also able to crop the selected view by double clicking on it to activate the cropping selection box.

  • Import Assets: To import images, GIFs, or short videos from your device into Present Mode—whether you're adding them to sheets or using them on the canvas for ideation and brainstorming—click the Asset button in the top toolbar. Then, choose the desired file and add it to your canvas.

Pro-tip: Save title blocks as .svg files and bring it here from 'Assets' to add to sheets

  • Copy Elements: To copy elements from other sheets onto your new sheets, press the Alt button on your keyboard and drag and drop it onto your sheet. Alternatively, use shortcuts 'Ctrl+C' & 'Ctrl+V'.

  • Other Edits: Add custom shapes, text, notes or highlight important points using the tools available in the top toolbar.

  • Export: Once you've created your sheets, export them by clicking on the Export button in the top right corner of your screen.
