Everything you design in Snaptrude lives in a project. Use these steps to create a project, bring in a Revit model, find and open a project again, rename it, make a copy, move it to another folder or workspace, and delete it. The steps are the same in your Personal workspace and in a team workspace.
Note: The Free plan is limited to one project.
Create a new project
On the dashboard, use the left sidebar to go to the workspace (Personal or a team) and folder where you want the project to live.
Click New Project at the top right. The New Project dialog opens.
Enter a Name for the project.
Choose the Units: mm, cm, m, in or ft-in.
Click Create.
Note: You can change the project's units later in Settings (the gear icon at the bottom left inside the project).
Bring a Revit model into a project
Create or open a project.
Click the project name at the top left and select Import.
In the Import dialog, choose the Revit Files (via Snaptrude Plugin) tile and follow the prompts.
Note: Revit import isn't available on the Free and Starter plans.
Tip: Revit rooms come in as editable spaces, and their room parameters appear as read-only columns in Program Mode. See the Revit import articles for details.
Open a saved project
On the dashboard, go to the workspace and folder that contains the project. Your latest work also appears under Recent Projects on Home.
Click the project card to open it.
To find a project quickly, type its name in the Search projects or folders box at the top of the left sidebar and click it in the results. To open a project in a separate browser tab, open the ... menu on its card and select Open In New Tab.
Rename a project
From the dashboard:
Open the ... menu on the project card.
Select Rename.
Type the new name and confirm.
From inside the project:
Click the project name at the top left.
Select Rename.
Type the new name and confirm.
Duplicate a project
From the dashboard:
Open the ... menu on the project card.
Select Duplicate Project.
From inside the project (Save As):
Click the project name at the top left.
Select Save As.
Enter a name for the copy.
Choose the workspace and folder where the copy should be saved.
Optionally, select the checkboxes to keep sharing settings, comments, markups and renders in the copy.
Confirm to create the copy.
Save As also copies the project's Present Mode content.
Tip: Use Save As to snapshot a design option before making major changes, or to copy a project into a different workspace while keeping the original where it is.
Move a project to another folder or workspace
You can move projects and folders within a workspace, and move projects into and out of other workspaces, for example from a team workspace to your Personal workspace.
On the dashboard, open the workspace that contains the project.
Drag the project and drop it on the destination folder or workspace.
Note: If you can't move a project out of a team workspace, ask a team admin to check your role's permissions. If moving isn't available to you, use Save As to copy the project to the other workspace instead.
Delete a project
On the dashboard, open the ... menu on the project card.
Select Delete.
Note: Make a copy with Duplicate Project or Save As first if you might need the project again.
