Snaptrude runs in your browser and loads its app, project data, Present Mode canvas and import/export services from several web domains. If your organization uses a firewall, proxy or web filter, your IT team needs to allow these domains, or pages may fail to load, Present Mode may show an error, or Snaptrude Manager may fail to sign in or upload a model. This article is the single list to send to IT.
Before you start
You'll need someone with access to your organization's firewall or proxy settings (usually the IT or network team).
Use Google Chrome. Chrome is the only browser Snaptrude validates, and Snaptrude shows a banner recommending Chrome in other browsers.
Domains to allow
Ask your IT team to allow HTTPS traffic to the following domains. Where a wildcard (*) is shown, allow all subdomains.
Domain | Used for |
The Snaptrude app (
Snaptrude services
Snaptrude services, including the Present Mode drawing canvas (
Preview features
Project data storage; required for Snaptrude Manager sign-in and model uploads
Present Mode canvas assets
Present Mode canvas service
Required by the Snaptrude app
Snaptrude Community (signs in with your Snaptrude account)
Note: CAD import and export, direct Revit (RVT) import and export, and IFC export are processed through Autodesk Platform Services (APS). If these features fail on your network while the rest of Snaptrude works, ask your IT team to also allow Autodesk Platform Services traffic. When APS itself has an outage, these features are unavailable for everyone until Autodesk restores service.
Check that the domains are reachable
On the affected computer, open Google Chrome.
Go to
https://app.snaptrude.comand sign in. If the page doesn't load, the core Snaptrude domains are likely still blocked.Open a project and switch to Present Mode. If the canvas loads without an error, the Present Mode domains are allowed.
If you use Snaptrude Manager for Revit, open a command prompt or terminal and run
ping api.snaptrude.comandping snaptrude-prod-data.s3.amazonaws.com.Then sign in to Snaptrude Manager and import a model. If sign-in and upload succeed, the network is set up correctly.
Tip: Some networks block ping replies even when web traffic is allowed. If ping times out, try opening https://api.snaptrude.com in Chrome instead. Any response from the server, even an error page, means the domain is reachable; a browser timeout or a page from your company's web filter means it's still blocked.
Fix "Could not load assets. Please refresh the page" in Present Mode
This error appears when your network blocks the assets Present Mode needs to draw its canvas. Refreshing the page usually won't fix it until the domains are allowed.
Ask your IT team to allow
https://tldraw-worker-prod.pranav-c4b.workers.dev,https://drawingcanvas.snaptrude.liveandhttps://cdn.tldraw.com.Once they confirm, reload Snaptrude and switch to Present Mode again.
Troubleshooting
Snaptrude Manager can't sign in or import a model: check that
api.snaptrude.comandsnaptrude-prod-data.s3.amazonaws.comare allowed.CAD, RVT or IFC imports and exports fail, but everything else works: check that Autodesk Platform Services traffic is allowed. If it is, the issue may be an Autodesk outage; try again later.
Still having trouble after allowing everything: email [email protected] with a screenshot of the error and a short description of your network setup (for example, the proxy or web filter you use).
