In this article you will see how to use the 'Remove Vertex' feature in Snaptrude. This feature enables the modification of a mass shape in a plan (2D) view by eliminating object corners. This tool can be used on spaces as well as BIM elements such as walls, slabs, column, beam, floors, etc.
Remove Vertex from Spaces
Step 1: Navigate to the Design tab in the 2D view and select Remove Vertex.
Step 2: Hover over the vertex that needs to be removed. The tool will display various shape configuration options, highlighted in yellow, as the cursor moves over the vertices. This preview helps in visualizing the final shape of the object after the vertex removal.
Step 3: Click on the desired vertex to remove it.
Pro-Tip: Click inside the object from which vertices need to be removed. This action will make all current vertices visible, facilitating easy removal by clicking on them.
Remove Vertex from BIM Elements
Lets look at how to remove vertices from BIM objects made on Snaptrude:
Step 1: Navigate to the Design tab and select Remove Vertex.
Step 2: Click on the floor from which vertices need to be removed.
Step 3: Hover over the vertex to view the configuration options. Click on the respective vertex to remove it.
Note: Apply these same steps to remove vertices while designing spaces, walls, slabs, columns, beams, and generic masses.
