Labelling Spaces for Concept Design
Updated over a week ago

Space labels help designers track & analyze different spaces during the concept design stage by associating data such as area and dimensions with each space. This feature simplifies the understanding of concept designs by providing both layout and associated data insights. Designers either assign a custom label to a space or use one of Snaptrude's 'Smart Labels' for added convenience.

All spaces are created as 'Default'. To change the label of a space, simply double-click on the desired space. When a text box appears, type in the name of the space and press 'Enter'.

The label will now be assigned to the space and will be used consistently throughout the Snaptrude project, including in its object properties and area statements.

You can also use 'Smart Labels' to change the dimensions & materials of the space according the designated label as shown below:

Note: If spaces are created as identical copies, labeling one space will automatically label all the other copied spaces. (Learn how to create identical copies using the Copy/Array tool.)
