Upload custom wall types to a team library using Revit. Install Snaptrude Manager for Revit first. Once the manager is installed, begin by drawing all the different wall types in a Revit project. Alternatively, import the entire project on Snaptrude if it contains all the desired wall types.
Uploading Wall types from Revit
Step 1: Click on the Snaptrude manager and select 'Export to Snaptrude'.
Step 2: Choose the team library to add these wall types.
Step 3: Click on done after selecting the team. A new browser tab will open where the project import to snapshot begins.
Step 4: Click on Import levels. In the Asset Library tab, find the detected wall types from the project.
Step 5: Select the wall types to add to the library. If a wall type already exists in the library, its selection box will be grayed out.
Step 6: To add all wall types, click on Select All. Finally, click 'Save' to start the import process.
Managing Wall Types in Library
Once imported, navigate to the team's library where these wall types were added. Here, find the imported wall types listed alongside the default ones. Each wall type includes its construction properties from Revit, such as the structural layer and any finished layer present, along with their thickness.
Assign Units & Cost
Assign construction and demolition costs to the wall type in the team library. Enter the construction cost. Define the units for cost calculation and whether the cost should be calculated by area, volume, or running length, depending on the wall type.
Add New Property
Add and assign a new property to the walls directly from the library.
Delete, Rename or Duplicate Wall type
To delete, rename, or duplicate a wall type, right click on it and select the respective option.
Note:
1. After setting up the wall library for the team, navigate to the project. The construction cost will be updated in the Costing tab.
2. These wall types will then be available to use in all projects of that team.
