Lock/Unlock Elements

Updated over a week ago

This article will guide you on how to use the lock feature to prevent unintentional modifications to your elements.

Note: Follow the same steps for both BIM and space objects.

Lock elements

Begin by selecting the objects you want to lock. Right-click on them and select the lock icon.

The selection box for these elements will turn red, signifying that the objects are locked and cannot be edited.

Note: When objects are locked, actions like copy, edit, delete, flip, or move are disabled—but you can still hide or isolate them.

Unlock elements

Right-click on the locked object that needs to be unlocked. From the menu, select the Unlock option.

After unlocking, these objects can be edited as required.

Note: This feature is especially useful when working with CAD drawings, PDFs, and Images, as it prevents unintentional modifications to your reference files.
