Import Topography

Import topography to conduct several types of climate analysis available under 'Sustainability' or simply to visualize surrounding areas and elevations for the project site.

Step 1: Navigate to the dropdown menu next to your project name. Then, select the Import option.

Step 2: Click on Load Topography.

Step 3: Enter the name or the latitude & longitude to locate the site.

Step 4: After entering the location, you'll be redirected to the site. Adjust the location you wish to import by zooming in/out and panning to bring in the required site context.

Step 5: Import your elevations, buildings and satellite view of the topography by checking the relevant boxes.

Step 6: Finally, click on Load Topography.

Step 7: The topography will be imported to Storey (Plan) 1. If needed, adjust the topography to place the site in the correct location by using the move & rotate tools..

Step 8: The surrounding neighborhood buildings imported along with the topography can also be manipulated by using the 'Push/pull' (shortcut P) tool or hide/unhide and delete if required.

Step 9: To hide a topography, select it, right click on it and click on the hide option or use the shortcut 'H'.

Pro-tip: Lock the topography to avoid any accidental edits to the topography after import.

Select topography > Right-Click > Select 'Lock'

Step 10: To delete your topography, select it, right click on it and click on delete or use the delete shortcut on your keyboard.

Once the Topography is imported, you can then save 3D & 2D views. Or conduct climate analysis under Sustainability.
