Split Face for Spaces

You can split a face of a particular space, in case you would like to specify multiple heights or dimensions of a specific set space. Let’s look at how you can do this on Snaptrude.

  1. Choose the Split Face tool from the Design toolbar.

  2. Draw a line based on how you want to split the face of the object

  3. Make edits to that particular face using the Push/pull tool (Shortcut ‘P’)

You can perform the same action for a vertical face as well. Click on the Split Face tool from the design toolbar, and simple specify where and how you would like to split the face. Once done, you can now make edits to each face of the split object.

Split Face on BIM Objects

Use the Split Face tool on the BIM objects such as walls, floors, slabs, ceilings, etc to create detailed interior designs on Snaptrude Let’s look at how you can do this.

  1. Choose the Split Face tool from the Design toolbar

  2. Hover over the surface of the object you wish to split (Snap points & the edge lines can help you understand how you are splitting the surface)

  3. Once you have defined the point, draw a line from that edge to the opposite edge to complete the split

  4. Make edits to that particular face using the Push/pull tool (Shortcut ‘P’)
