Snaptrude enables designers to work on their projects with real-time access to area statements, enhancing their design efficiency and accuracy. There are several kinds of area charts available under the areas tab. Depending on the use-case, designers can toggle between these options.
Moreover, you can this export area statement to .csv format, for further review. To do so, Click on dropdown arrow right next to the name of the project, where you will find the 'Export > Areas' button.
Here, there are two options of exporting area:
Exporting Area by Storey
Select the 'By Storey' option to download area breakdown by storeys. The downloaded .csv file can be opened in Excel, Googlesheets, etc where the areas are categorized by Storeys. The export contains all the details of built-up area and carpet area of each space, along with the room name, and whether it is included or excluded in FAR calculations. (The FAR number next to each storey shows the portion of FAR taken up by that storey.)
Exporting Area by Labels
To view the total area and the count of spaces in your model, select the option to export area by labels. The downloaded CSV will provide a list of all available spaces along with their respective area and count.
Note: If your model was created using a Program Import with predefined targets, the exported CSV will also include targeted and achieved area and count, as well as the differences between these values. This information is especially useful for comparing the targeted area from the CSV with the achieved area after creating the conceptual model.
Finally, whether you're creating a BIM model or a conceptual model, you can use the area data generated for these models and export it into a CSV for detailed documentation later.
