Adding and Viewing Comments

Snaptrude makes collaboration easy by allowing teams to add, view, and manage comments directly within the model. Here’s how you can use comments efficiently throughout your project.

Adding Comments

Step 1: Click the Comments icon in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Navigate to the view or element where you want to add a comment, then click Add Comment at the desired location. A comment window will appear for you to type your message.

Step 3: Tag Individuals (Optional): Tag specific individuals by using the "@" symbol followed by their username. (Tagged individuals will receive an email notification, which includes a direct link to the model).

Step 4: (Optional) Attach files by clicking the attachment icon. You can also add emojis or mention teammates. Press 'Enter' to submit your comment.


Managing & Viewing Comments

1. Edit or Delete: If you wish to edit (or modify) or delete the comment, click on the three buttons available beside it and select the respective option.

2. Reply to Comments: To reply to a comment, click on the comment and type your response. You can tag individuals and add attachments in replies as well.

3. Viewing Comments: Click on the Comments tab to view all comments associated with the project.

4. Navigating to a Comment: Click on any comment from the list to navigate directly to that specific comment in the model.

Note: Clicking any comment in the right-hand panel takes you directly to the view and location where it was added.

5. Resolve a Comment: To mark a comment as resolved, toggle the 'Resolve' button next to the comment. Resolved comments are moved to the "Resolved" category in the tab.

6. Reopen a Resolved Comment: If you need to revisit a resolved comment, click the 'Reopen' button to move it back to the active comments list.


Sorting, Filtering & Searching Comments

1. Sort Comments: Use the sorting options available in the comment tab to organize comments by various criteria.

2. Filter Comments: Apply filters to display only the comments that meet specific criteria, such as by Commenter, Story, Date posted, etc.

3. Search Bar: Use the search bar in the comments section to type the keyword or phrase you're looking for, and the results will appear accordingly in the tab.

Note: All comments made in the project can be exported to a CSV file for further documentation and record-keeping purposes. Visit 'Export Comments' to know more.

In this way, use the comments feature to enable efficient communication with stakeholders on Snaptrude projects.
