The push/pull or edit tool is used to change the geometries of the objects on Snaptrude. This tool can be used on all objects including, spaces, masses, walls, slabs, beams, columns, floors & ceilings.
Push/Pull Tool
Step 1: Activate the 'Push/pull tool' from the top toolbar or use the shortcut 'P' while in the 3D view of the project.
Editing Spaces in Design Mode: Click the face, edge or vertex of the spaces you wish to edit. Use the arrow keys to control the movement of the push/pull. Optionally, you can enter the numerical extrusion distance for accuracy.
Editing BIM Objects in BIM Mode: Use the push/pull on all BIM objects on Snaptrude in the similar manner as mentioned above for spaces. For example: easily create inclined walls using push/pull as shown below.
Edit Tool
In the 2D view, the Push/pull tool is called the 'Edit tool' and has the same shortcut 'P'.
Step 1: To use the edit tool in the 2D view activate it from the top tool bar or use the shortcut 'P'.
Editing Spaces in Design Mode: The edit tool works similarly as in the 3D view. Hover over & click the edge of the space to edit it.
Editing BIM Objects in BIM mode: Hover over the edge or vertex of the BIM object you wish to edit. Then move the selected edge/vertex to edit it as required. This can be used to change the length & width of the object easily.
Note: When editing spaces that share an edge, any changes made to the edge will impact the geometries of both spaces. However, in BIM objects, individual objects are not connected, so editing one object will not affect adjacent objects.
