In this tutorial, you'll learn how to import a PDF or an image into your project.
Begin by clicking on the dropdown of the project name.
Import PDF
Step 1: Select PDF from the import options. Choose the PDF from your system and click on 'Open'.
Step 2: The default active story will display where the PDF will be imported. If you want to change it, use the arrow keys or enter the respective story.
Step 3: Next, choose the scale of the import from the dropdown. If your PDF has multiple pages, select the page you want to import. Finally, click on the infinite button.
Note: If you're unsure about the scale of the PDF, you can adjust it after the PDF is loaded into the project. To adjust the scale, align these two buttons to the respective options and then to a dimension within your project.
Import Image
Step 1: Select 'Images' option from the import window. Then select the image from your system to import.
Step 2: Once you've selected the image, choose the storey where you want to place or import the image. By default, it'll show the active storey. Click on Import to proceed.
Step 3: Once imported, use the scales available to adjust your imported image. After scaling, you can start creating or tracing on top of the images.
Access Imported Files
Upon importing the PDF or image, please navigate to the BIM section and open the 'Imported Files' section. Within the imported files, you will locate the imported PDF or image. Here, you have the option to hide, unhide, or delete the file.
To scale the PDF/Image after importing, select it and in the object properties panel you will find the 'Scale Object' button.
Pro Tip: Lock the PDF or image after importing to avoid accidentally moving them.
