AI Credits and Boosts

How Snaptrude AI credits work: what uses them, checking your balance, Boosts (Fast mode and Cloud processing), low-credit notices and buying more.

Snaptrude's AI features run on credits. Every prompt you send to the Snaptrude Agent uses credits from your balance. Use this guide to see what uses credits, how to check your balance, what Boosts do, and how to get more credits when you run low.

What uses credits

All AI prompts use credits. That includes every prompt you send to the Snaptrude Agent from the AI chat panel, in Design Mode, BIM Mode or Present Mode, and requests to the agents in Program Mode.

Modelling, drawing and documentation tools that don't involve an AI prompt don't use credits.

Check your balance

  1. Click the Agent button at the top of the far-left rail to open the AI chat panel.

  2. Look below the Ask anything box. Your credit balance is shown next to the Boosts button.

Payments for plans and credits are handled through Stripe.

Use Boosts

Boosts change how the agent runs your prompts. There are two:

  • Fast mode: makes the agent up to 5x faster, but uses 2x credits.

  • Cloud processing: runs the AI in the cloud instead of depending on your computer, so tasks keep running in the background.

  1. Open the AI chat panel with the Agent button.

  2. Click Boosts under the chat box.

  3. Turn on Fast mode, Cloud processing, or both.

  4. Send your prompt as usual.

Tip: Leave Fast mode off for routine prompts and turn it on when speed matters more than credits.

Low-credit notices

When your balance is running low, or when you run out, Snaptrude shows a notice offering a way to continue: getting more credits or upgrading your plan, depending on your plan.

Buy more credits

You can buy credits on every plan except Free. Free users can't buy credits and need to subscribe to a paid plan first.

  1. Click Get credits on a low-balance notice, or click Upgrade to open the plans window.

  2. Choose to buy more credits, or pick a plan to upgrade to.

  3. Complete the payment.

Note: In an organization, only members with the Billing admin role can buy credits. Other members need to ask their billing admin.

Troubleshooting

  • Get credits is greyed out. You aren't a billing admin for your organization. Ask whoever manages your organization's billing.

  • I'm on the Free plan and can't find a way to buy credits. Free accounts can't buy credits. Click Upgrade and subscribe to a paid plan.

  • My credits are running out faster than expected. Check whether Fast mode is on under Boosts. It uses 2x credits per prompt.
