The Snaptrude dashboard is the first page you see after you sign in. From here you start new projects, open your own and shared projects, switch between your personal workspace and your teams, and manage your account and credits.
Find your way around the dashboard
The left sidebar holds everything on the dashboard:
At the top: the Search projects or folders box, the notifications bell and your profile icon.
The workspace section: Home, Personal, Templates, Knowledge and Shared with me.
Below that, your teams, or a Create team prompt if you don't belong to one yet.
Help (?) at the bottom left.
Tip: From inside any project, click the Snaptrude logo to return to Home.
Start from Home
Home gathers the quickest ways to begin work:
The How can I help you today? prompt box sends a request straight to the Snaptrude Agent. Use the Add and Site buttons to give the agent more to work with, or click the mic to dictate.
Suggestion chips under the prompt box, such as MFR Unit, Parametric staircase, Office or University Library, give you a ready-made starting prompt.
Recent Projects shows the projects you worked on last.
If your credits run out, Home tells you so and shows your next step. Free users can't buy credits and see Upgrade, which opens the plans. On every other plan, billing admins can buy more credits.
The Master the basics onboarding checklist doesn't open on its own. When it is open, click anywhere outside it to close it.
Create a new project
Click New Project at the top right.
Enter a Name for the project.
Choose the Units: mm, cm, m, in or ft-in.
Click Create.
For the full options, see Create and manage projects.
Work in your personal workspace
Personal lists every project you have created. Each project tile shows when it was last updated.
Click Personal.
Use Sort By to order projects by Alphabetical, Date created or Last modified.
Click ... on a project tile to choose Open project, Open In New Tab, Rename, Duplicate Project or Delete.
You can also create folders here, and move projects and folders between folders and into and out of team workspaces. Your templates are under Templates in the sidebar.
Note: The Free plan is limited to one project.
Open projects shared with you
Click Shared with me in the sidebar.
Open a project from the list. Whether you can view or edit it depends on the role the owner gave you.
Create a team
Teams are shared workspaces inside your organization. Each team has its own projects, folders and permissions, and every project created in a team is available to that team's members.
Note: Organizations and teams require an Organization or Enterprise plan. See Credits, plans and billing.
Click Create team in the sidebar.
Enter a name for the team.
Invite people by email. They receive an email and a dashboard notification inviting them to join.
Organization admins can also invite people with an invite link. You can add or remove teammates at any time. See Manage teams and permissions for details.
Connect company knowledge
On the Enterprise plan, admins can connect sources such as Google Drive, Google Sheets, Dropbox, Box, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore and SharePoint from Knowledge. The Snaptrude Agent can then answer questions using that content, from Home, Program Mode or the Agent panel in a project. Only text-based content is read.
Note: Only admins can add connections.
See Connect company knowledge for setup steps.
Search for a project or folder
Click Search projects or folders at the top of the sidebar.
Type part of the project or folder name.
Click a result to go straight to that project or folder.
Check notifications
Click the notifications bell at the top of the sidebar to see comments you are tagged in and teams you have been added to. Snaptrude also notifies you when the Snaptrude Agent finishes a task or needs your answer.
Manage your account and credits
Click your profile icon next to the notifications bell to change account settings and see your plan and credit balance. Click Upgrade to open the plans. On any plan except Free, billing admins can also buy more credits here.
