Knowledge lets your organization connect the services where it keeps project documents, such as specifications, standards and briefs, so you can ask questions about them in plain language. You can also ask questions about your organization's past Snaptrude projects.
Before you start
Plan: Knowledge and Query are available on the Enterprise plan only. Users on other plans see an upgrade prompt when they try to use Query.
Role: Only an organization admin can add connections. Other members can query sources once they are connected.
Content type: Knowledge reads text-based content only.
Supported connectors
You can connect documents from these sources:
Google Drive
Google Sheets
Dropbox
Box
SharePoint
Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
Procore
Connect a document source
Go to your Snaptrude dashboard.
In the left sidebar, click Knowledge.
Click Add Connection.
Choose the service you want to connect and follow the prompts to give Snaptrude access to it.
Ask questions about your firm's documents
Questions about connected documents are answered by the Knowledge Query agent, which searches the text content of your connected sources. You can reach Query from anywhere you prompt Snaptrude: the Home prompt box, the Snaptrude Agent, or Program Mode. The steps below use Program Mode.
Open a project and click the Program tab. Program Mode opens in a separate browser tab.
In the agent panel on the left, open the agent dropdown and choose Query (Enterprise).
Type your question, for example "What is our standard minimum corridor width for healthcare projects?" or "Summarize the client's requirements for the lobby from the brief."
Send the prompt.
Note: Auto in the agent dropdown does not route prompts to Query. Select Query yourself when you want to search your firm's knowledge or past projects.
Query your past projects
The Project Query agent answers questions about your organization's existing Snaptrude projects.
Select Query in the agent dropdown, as above.
Type
@in the prompt box and choose the project or folder you want to ask about.Type your question, for example "@Riverside Clinic what was the total net area of the outpatient department?"
Send the prompt.
Note: Query does not depend on which design proposal is active in your current project.
Limitations
Only text-based content is read.
Query does not remember earlier chats. Include the full context, including the project or folder you mean, in each prompt.
Query and Research run as separate agents. To combine your firm's knowledge with outside research, ask each one separately.
Troubleshooting
You can't add a connection: Check that your organization is on the Enterprise plan. Only organization admins can add connections, so ask your admin to add it.
Query shows an upgrade prompt: Query is included only with the Enterprise plan. Contact your admin or Snaptrude support about upgrading.
An answer misses information you know is in a document: Confirm the document is in a connected source and contains text rather than only images.
