Snaptrude Apps are focused tools that run inside a Snaptrude project, such as a parking layout tool, a financial pro forma or a space planner. Use them when you want a specific, repeatable task done without modelling it by hand or describing it to the Snaptrude Agent each time.
What apps are available
Snaptrude provides a set of curated apps that every user can see. Examples include:
US Multifamily
Financial Pro Forma
Facade Fins
Massing Envelope
Parking
Auto Documentation
Space Planning: generates ranked space-planning options from a room program and a floorplate boundary, which you can adjust and then place back into your project.
Door Tagging
The curated list can change over time. Besides curated apps, you can open apps that other people share with you.
Find an app
Open a project.
Click the Agent button at the top of the far-left rail to open the AI chat panel.
Click Explore Apps to browse the prebuilt apps.
Tip: Every curated app has its own URL. You can bookmark an app or send its link to a colleague so they can go straight to it.
Run an app in a project
Open the project you want the app to work on.
Open the app from Explore Apps, or from its link.
Follow the prompts in the app's window to set its inputs and run it. Each app has its own controls.
Review the result in your project and keep working on it with the usual Snaptrude tools.
Note: Running an app does not open the agent chat.
Dock or pop out an app window
An app's interface opens in a docked panel inside Snaptrude by default. If you want more room for the canvas, or you work across two monitors, you can pop the app out into a separate browser window.
Open the app. It appears docked in the Snaptrude window.
Use the pop-out control on the app panel to move it into its own browser window.
Add an app to your favorites
Mark the apps you use most as favorites so they are quicker to find next time.
Find the app you want.
Use its favorite control to add it to your Favorites.
Use apps with the Snaptrude Agent
The Snaptrude Agent and apps can work together. The agent can communicate with apps and call the actions an app makes available, so you can ask the agent in plain language to do something an app is built for. Apps can also use the agent.
Apps use the agent without you needing to add your own AI API keys. AI requests made this way use your AI credits, like any other prompt.
An app works with the agent only if it declares the actions the agent can use. If you built or were given an older custom app, it may need to be updated before the agent can use it.
Troubleshooting
A custom app stopped working. Apps made with the old plugin builder no longer run. Update the app and republish it.
The agent doesn't use an app. The app may not declare any agent actions yet. Run it directly from Explore Apps, or ask the app's owner to update it.
