AI Inspirations turns a view of your model into presentation imagery from a text prompt. Use it to try out visual styles, place a design in a setting, test materials and lighting, add people and vegetation, or generate a short video, all inside your project rather than in an external rendering tool.
Before you start
AI Inspirations works in Present Mode. Switch to it with the Present tab at the top of the screen.
Set up the view you want to work from first. A saved 3D view gives you a repeatable starting point; see "Save and manage views" for how to save one.
AI generations use Snaptrude AI credits.
Open AI Inspirations
Open your project and click the Present tab to switch to Present Mode.
Place the image you want to render on a sheet. This can be a 2D or 3D view from the Views tab, an earlier AI result, or an imported image.
Click the image. AI Inspirations appears for the selected image.
Use the prompt box to describe the result you want.
Note: AI Inspirations only appears when an image on the sheet is selected. If you don't see it, click directly on the image you want to render.
Generate an image
Click the image you want to render to open AI Inspirations.
Type a prompt that describes the result you want, for example "late-afternoon light, brick facade, street trees and pedestrians".
Generate the result.
Review the result. To refine it, select the result, change the prompt and generate again.
Tip: Describe what should change and what should stay the same. "Keep the massing and window layout, change the cladding to timber" usually gives a more faithful result than a prompt that only names a style.
Combine a style with your prompt, sheet or site
Instead of relying on the prompt alone, you can combine a style with other inputs:
Style + prompt
Style + sheet
Style + site
Pairing a style with a prompt lets you keep a consistent look while steering details such as materials, time of day or weather.
Use annotations as a reference
Annotations you add can be used as a reference for the generation, so you can point the AI at the area or change you care about before you generate.
Generate a video
Click the image you want to animate to open AI Inspirations.
Choose the video option for the generation.
Set keyframes to guide the video.
Enter a prompt describing the motion or scene, then generate.
Credits
All AI prompts, including AI Inspirations generations, use Snaptrude AI credits. Your credit balance is shown below the chat box in the AI chat panel, which you open with the Agent button on the far-left rail. Users on paid plans can buy more credits; billing admins can purchase them, and Upgrade opens the plans window.
Tips
Start from a clean, well-framed 3D view so the result starts from the composition you want.
BIM models with materials applied give the AI more to work with than plain massing.
AI Inspiration results are not refreshed by Update all views in the Views tab of Present Mode. If you change the model, generate a new result from the updated view.
Use AI results for early ideas and mood. For dimensioned or measured output, use plan views and drawings.
Troubleshooting
The result ignores my design: shorten the prompt, state what must stay unchanged, or start from a cleaner view.
Generation fails: try again. If it keeps failing, contact support through Help (?) at the bottom left of the screen.
Generation stops or is unavailable: check your credit balance below the chat box in the AI chat panel.
