Uploading an image & PDF on Snaptrude
Updated over a week ago

In Snaptrude, you have the capability to upload images & PDFs directly onto the design canvas. This feature is particularly useful if you want to trace over a hand-drawn sketch, or wish to make a 3D model from a reference image or pdf. Snaptrude's image import functionality supports various formats, including JPG, JPEG, and PNG.

  1. To upload an image/PDF, click on the “Import” tab from the top toolbar.

  2. A window opens with several import options. Click on the “Images” button to upload an image or “PDF” to bring in a document.

  3. A dialog box opens asking you to upload a file from your computer. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop the file in there that you want to import.

  4. Then select the storey on which you wish to upload the file. By default the active storey will be shown in the dialogue box.

  5. Finally click on “Import”.

  6. Snaptrude then imports the sketch/PDF on the respective storey. Next, go ahead & scale it as required.

  7. To hide or delete the image/PDF, click on the “Imported Files” icon on the right side panel and under the Image or PDF category you will find the uploaded file. Click on the “bulb” icon to hide/unhide it or the “trash” to delete it.
