This tutorial provides a walkthrough on locking and unlocking elements in Snaptrude. This feature alters the editable properties of elements, making it especially useful when working with AutoCAD, JPG, or PDF files for floor plan references. It prevents the elements from being moved or rotated unknowingly.
Locking Elements
Step 1: Select the elements to lock. For selecting multiple objects, use the control (for Windows) or command (for Mac) key. For large scale selections, choose storey selection, filter selection, or rectangular marquee selection.
Step 2: Then, navigate to the bottom toolbar and select Lock
After locking the object(s), the selection box turns red. This indicates that the elements are not editable, i.e., they cannot be moved, copied, rotated, etc until unlocked.
Unlocking Elements
Step 1: Select the locked elements.
Step 2: Navigate to the bottom toolbar and select Unlock.
Upon unlocking, the selection box turns blue, signifying that the elements are now editable.
